Family Nurse Practitioner. Former hospice nurse. Author. Someone who has watched, up close, what caregiving costs — and who built Caregiver Rising so it doesn't have to cost you everything.
I spent years at the bedside, watching families give everything to someone they loved — and almost no one asking how they were doing. That gap is what led me to write Loving to Death: Self-Help for Caregivers, and it's what led me to build Caregiver Rising.
I believe caregiving is an honor — and I also believe you shouldn't have to disappear in order to do it well. My work today is focused on helping family caregivers protect their own health while they care for someone else's, through practical education, honest community, and real clinical tools.

Research is clear that caregiving takes a measurable toll on the caregiver's own mental and physical health. That doesn't have to be the outcome. With the right education and support, caregivers can protect their own health while still showing up fully for the person they love. That's the whole reason I do this work.
The Caregiver Rising community is where this all comes to life — real conversation, real support, no performance required.
